Betfred Super League Preview - England Men | Round 21

Thursday - Wigan Warriors v Hull KR - 8pm kick off on Sky Sports

Tonight's big TV game sees Wigan Warriors host Hull KR in a clash of two sides who had differing fortunes last week. Wigan were on the end of a 42-12 demolition by Leeds last time out and the likes of Liam Marshall, Liam Farrell and Kai Pearce-Paul are all likely to feature from the start inn their bid to bounce back.

Mike Cooper made his Wigan debut from the bench at Headingley - will he feature from the off this time?

Hull KR are without England winger Ryan Hall who tore his calf in last week's 30-22 win at Warrington and is set to miss out for the next few weeks.

Friday - Castleford Tigers v Wakefield Trinity - 8pm kick off on Sky Sports

Paul McShane is likely to be the only England star on show in tomorrow night's huge derby match. The hooker has been a mainstay of the Castleford side as captain and will be hoping to inspire a 12th win of the season in the home side's play-off hunt. Niall Evalds is out of the game through injury.

Reece Lyne, Wakefield's only current England squad member, continues his recovery from injury.

Saturday - Huddersfield Giants v Warrington Wolves - 3pm kick off

Warrington have endured a difficult 2022 but will have their sights set on a season-changing win this week. Huddersfield, who have no current England squad members, have enjoyed a positive season but will have to be on top of their game to see off a changing side who are capable of beating the play-off contenders.

Daryl Clark, Ben Currie, Stefan Ratchford, George Williams, Jake Wardle and Matty Ashton have all been named in Daryl Powell's squad this week - can they pick up league win number eight of the season?

Saturday - Catalans Dragons v Leeds Rhinos - 6pm kick off

England hooker Michael McIlorum returns from suspension for Catalans as they aim to build on the dramatic 13-12 home win they picked up over Huddersfield last week.

Fellow England squad member Sam Tomkins is once again in line to captain the team from full back, while Tom Davies and Mike McMeeken work through their respective injury recoveries.

In opposition, Zak Hardaker, Harry Newman and Mikolaj Oledzki have all been named in the travelling Leeds team for the clash. Can thee Rhinos build on their big home win over Wigan last time out?

Sunday - Salford Red Devils v St Helens - 3pm kick off

Kallum Watkins is likely to continue his run in the second row for Salford as they defy injury issues to launch a play-off challenge.

His Red Devils face a stiff test this week though as Saints, despite suffering something of an injury crisis, sit six points clear at the top of the table.

Jonny Lomax, Matty Lees, Alex Walmsley, Jack Welsby and Joe Batchelor are almost certain to start the game on Sunday much like last week.

Morgan Knowles, Tommy Makinson and Mark Percival are all out injured as it stands, with Lewis Dodd already out for the season.
